  1. "Overall impression" is better suited to slope-style imo where you can add creative stylish elements. For Big Air you stop seeing progression imo. Should just be judged on best trick, since that's kind of what happened here anyways. In 2018 guys were throwing quad 1800s…

  2. Alright hear me out. what if they made it this format: one grab only trick – imagine Renee doing a fat method for Steeze. Then one trick less than 1080 rotations for some more Steeze there. Finally 2 tricks where the boarders can do whatever they want.

  3. The real cost…..for the wages of sin is death. You ever lied, stolen something, used the name of God as a cuss word, JESUS CHRIST said whoever looks at a woman in lust has committed adultery in his own heart(these are just 4 sins GOD will judge you on). Scripture says after death is the judgement. Because GOD commands everyone everywhere to repent (Acts 17:30-31) because He appointed a day on which He will judge the world in rightousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead. GOD does not want you to be eternally lost so since He loves the world He sent His Son JESUS CHRIST to pay your sin debt for you JESUS CHRIST shed His blood and died on a cross and 3 days later raised to life. When you put your faith and trust in JESUS CHRIST blood atoneing sacrifice you will be saved . For by grace you have been saved by through faith and that not of yourselves it is a gift from GOD, not of works lest anyone should boast. In times past animals blood were shed for sins of people, but now CHRIST JESUS shed His blood to atone for your sins, meaning He paid your sin debt for you put your faith and trust in that or you will be eternally lost .

  4. They should make the big air jump WAAAAAAAYYYYYY BIIGGEER, like crazy ubsurd big. That way the contest can stop being about who flips the most cuz the jump is tooo dam big

  5. dude, I'm just loving the snowboard community right now. Everyone in the competitive circuit is just rooting for the people around them to win. It's like they don't even care about medals they just care about seeing the sickest trick ever and I love it.

  6. New scoring system to fix the complains about snowboarding losing its steez doesnt work… Hard to follow, no clear indication whats scored how. I appreciate the effort but it doesnt work like this. Keep big air with the old system and let them progress the sport with the most insane tricks. Put some fun disciplines in for the steez like you did with knuckle.

Edit: How about a contest where you invite some boarders who wouldnt normally perform in xgames and make the winners of each prior competition the judge? Sit them in a booth and say what they like. No rules on how to score. Just gold medallists giving their opinion. All for fun

  7. We can hear their voices at the same time in the background it's weird; so they had to comment twice? Or maybe I'm hearing things? The main comments we hear are a bit…flat. Otherwise thanks Xgames, it's really good to watch all these!

  8. The new scoring system is kinda like boxing with split decisions but extremely vague on how it’s actually scored. It’s cool because you don’t get unbeatable scores or under valued scores that are awarded too early like back in the day. But it does take away the go for broke final run underdog suspense. Because falling may or may not take away from your score definitely less risk is taken. Truth is, because of the qualifying needed to make it to big air, all of their tricks need to be dialed. So these days your not going to see dudes like Haldor hucking tricks they have never attempted in epic heart stopping fashion…. Knuckle huck is basically the new big air which is sick, everyone going for broke because they aren’t all in the contest circuit and you have infinitely more creativity at this point. But for real guys like Sage Kotsenburg, Kyle Mack, Haldor Helgason, Stale Sandbech even Torsten Horgmo had so much character in their riding scores didn’t even matter. Past couple years has been really dry. Not in the technical sense because the tricks are bigger, but in the sense the majority of snowboarders are against spin to win, but spinning is continuously weighted more. Rene Rinnekangas would have been sick to watch if he was in the earlier 2010-14 matched up with those dudes. Mcmorris and Parrot are clutch but like seriously they have both won so much they would gain a lot of respect if they tried reinventing the wheel in ways other than adding a 180 or going cab/switch back. The double grab in Marks case is sick, but also a safety trick for him haha. But again with the standard of tricks these days risk of injury is so high… how can I judge when these guys careers rely on them being healthy.

  9. For people complaining about lack of style… just go watch knuckle huck! Let this be its own event with awesome spin and flip progression. 1800s,1920s and quads looks dope and i don’t want to go back to seeing 1080 with the competitors tickling the board in a funny way.

  10. The reason this new "Scoring system" is flawed is like on that last jump Mark thought he just had to land a decent trick. For slope style its okay but for big air this just halts progression as no one wants to fall. Riders should be encouraged to shoot for the moon on tricks not just be "Better" overall. Change it back.

  11. This new judging system doesn't even make sense. They say it's supposed to award overall performance yet Mark landed the most runs and did more tricks but he didn't win?! I don't have a problem with Max winning if it was based on the best one run but when they keep saying that the new judging system is better because it focuses on overall performance it doesn't make sense to give him the gold medal.
