Add these five butter tricks to your snowboard trick list! Butter tricks are fun because you can do them anywhere, and there are so many different variations. The first butter tricks to start with are nose and tail presses. Pressing is the base of all butter tricks. The key to a good press is moving your weight over the nose or tail of your snowboard. Next, combing pressing with rotation for spinning butters. The key for this snowboard trick is to wind your body up and rotate to create spin, as you lock in the press. Add another level of difficulty to your butters by doing butter 180’s. The butter 180 combines pressing, 180’s and Ollies all together. Tripods are taking your Butters passed your tail and to the ground. The key for tripods is to move all of your weight behind your board. Once you have tripods master you can take them to the next level of laziness with the Layback. Laybacks are just a fun trick without too much technical stuff going on. Have fun working through each of these butter tricks and adding them to your trick list. To share photo’s or videos of your butters connect on Instagram and use the hashtag #mytricklist. For full video’s with tips on how to do all these tricks check out the Snowboard Trick playlist.
Kev great vids to help even us old guys. Your vids helped me to style more, feel smoother and gain even more confidence! Well done.
learned the layback tripod ^=^
They're fun if you have a soft and short board
Hey gys, i find it difficult to do presses with my board. My board is Nitro Ripper 2008. I know it's a little bit old but that is what i have right now. Although in this website
http://www.snowdb.com/catalog/nitro/2009/ripper
it says that the board is soft i am having some hard time trying to do presses. Is there possible that the board got stiffer by the time? Is there any way i can test how flexible is my board?
Any advices?
Thank you for your time!
my board must be pretty stiff as I can't really get the nose of my board off the ground when doing a tail press.
riding a gulwing for the first season, this stuff butters itself 😉
tried doing these and got my penis stuck in the binding, help
Would a board with 4-5 flex rating , bring me any serious problems when if I wanted to go down a difficult slope..? And how would it behave on ice?
what size boards are y'all riding??
What kind of helmet is that? Looks nice!
My original Morrow Spoon is perfect for butters all day long.
My favorite one to do is a nose press butter 180 to tripod, then swing my board around to complete a 360. No clue what the name for that would be, but it's really fun to do
I have a k2 WWW 5 flex rating
What board you ride?
Hi guys! How to not fall during a nose press? When I try I stick the nose in the snow, everytime… Thx!
hey Kevin
what kind of board do you need for tricks like this?
can you butter on a burton custom flying v
Can you do butters with camber board or you need only rocker? Or if it is softer board you can do it with camber too? Is the hybrid board good for buttering? Thanks.
hey Kevin when I turn while at Mt. Rose in reno NV I sometimes switch from regular to goofy would doing either a tail or nose press 180 help me get back to regular?? reason why I ask is cause I have a burton bullet edition board that's stiff so what would be easier for that, I eat snow at times when trying
I HATE SUMMMMMMMMEEEEEERRRRRRR !!!!!!!
The laugh with the Layback kills me xD
I think it's just ugly to see the knee (on the leg you are leanin on) bend inwards. 0:30 for example, two different styles on the two legs.
